On Campus Transfers
Transfer of radioactive materials is only permitted between authorized users. Transfer recipients must be authorized for the radionuclide, chemical form and quantity of material they wish to receive.  EHS must receive a copy of the On Campus Radioactive Materials Transfer Form upon completion.  For any on campus transfer that requires vehicle transportation, contact the Radiation Safety Officer.

Off Campus Transfers/Shipment
The shipment of radioactive material must comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) and International Air Transportation Association (IATA) regulations. The DOT regulations and IATA standards require shipping papers, specific markings, hazard labels, vehicle placards, and emergency response information to accompany shipments.

EHS Radiation Safety staff (who is this?) are the only individuals on campus authorized to ship radioactive materials off campus.  EHS requires advanced notice to prepare and ship radioactive materials and they will work with you to ensure your shipment complies with national and international regulatory requirements.
