Indoor Air Quality
Indoor air quality (IAQ) directly impacts the health, comfort, and well-being of everyone inside a building. At TCU, we are committed to fostering an environment where employees can thrive in their workspaces. By focusing on essential factors such as maintaining optimal temperatures, balanced humidity levels, adequate ventilation with fresh outdoor air, and effective pollutant control - both indoors and from external sources - we aim to create spaces that are safe and conducive to productivity.
Several factors can influence indoor air quality, including inadequate ventilation, temperature fluctuations, unbalanced humidity, recent remodeling activities, and external or internal sources of contamination. Common pollutants such as dust, mold, cleaning chemicals, and airborne contaminants can contribute to poor IAQ. However, with proper ventilation, localized systems like fume hoods in laboratories and classrooms, and diligent building maintenance, most IAQ issues can be prevented or resolved effectively.
To report an indoor air quality concern, notify your building manager or contact TCU
